Speech & Feeding Therapy for Babies & Young Children

Based in Monroe, CT and serving families in Fairfield County and surrounding areas

Welcome to Little Monkeys Speech and Feeding Therapy!

At Little Monkeys, we specialize in feeding and language development for babies and young children from birth to age five. From breastfeeding and bottle-feeding challenges, to picky eating, oral motor therapy, and early language development, we are here to help every step of the way. We provide therapy in the comfort of your child’s home or daycare, making therapy accessible and tailored to your family’s needs.

Feeding your baby should be a joyful bonding experience, not an overwhelming source of stress. We’re here to help you and your child learn the skills and strategies you need to make mealtimes positive, enjoyable, and fulfilling. You are not alone, and together, we can turn these challenges into opportunities for connection and growth!

Here’s How We Can Help

Infant Feeding & Lactation Support

Hands-on support for both you and baby, focused on oral skills, positioning, latch, feeding schedules, bottle selection, milk supply, and early milestones.

Toddler & Preschool Feeding Therapy

Building confident eaters through food play and exploration. We will focus on chewing, swallowing, and accepting new foods to make mealtimes fun for everyone!

Early Language Development

Play-based therapy sessions build early language skills like following directions, asking questions, communicating with words and sentences, and interacting with others.

Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs)

Stretches and exercises to prepare your little one for their tongue tie release and to help them learn to use their tongue and mouth muscles correctly. We will help make feeding more comfortable for them and for you!

Meet Your Speech & Feeding Therapist

Sarah Jordan, MA, CCC-SLP, CBS, owner, speech therapist, and feeding therapist at Little Monkeys Speech & Feeding Therapy in Monroe, CT

Sarah Jordan, MA, CCC-SLP, CBS

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist, Feeding Therapist

Hi, I’m Sarah! I am a speech therapist, feeding therapist, and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist with over 10 years of experience. I specialize in supporting feeding and language development in babies and toddlers.

As a mother of two, I’ve been in your shoes— navigating feeding challenges, advocating for my children, and feeling the stress that comes with those struggles. My mission is to provide compassionate, expert care to families just like yours, helping you and your child thrive.

For me, everything comes back to connection. Feeding and language are at the heart of how we bond with our children, and I am passionate about helping families strengthen those connections. Whether it’s overcoming feeding difficulties, navigating a tongue tie diagnosis, or supporting your child’s early language milestones, I bring a blend of professional expertise and personal understanding to every session.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two young boys, and our pets— a dog, a cat, a saltwater fish tank, and a ball python. Our family loves being outside year-round and creating lasting memories together. My business name, Little Monkeys, is inspired by both my love of primates (I worked with them during and after college!) and my own two little monkeys who inspire me every day. I look forward to partnering with you on your family’s journey toward connection, growth, and success.

  • "We are so grateful..."

"Sarah has been working with our son for a few months. We came to her with concerns about pickiness with food and difficulties eating. From her first session, she wanted to build rapport before anything else. Our son LOVES when Sarah comes over. His face lights up, and he’s trying foods he’s never touched before. She gives us helpful tips after the sessions, and we’ve taken all of her advice to apply to mealtimes. We’ve noticed such a difference in both our approach to food and our son’s. We are so grateful and can’t imagine life before Sarah!"

Feeding and communication at their core are about relationships and connection.

It’s Easy to Get Started with Little Monkeys Speech and Feeding Therapy

Little Monkeys provides speech and feeding therapy services in homes, preschools, and daycares in Monroe, CT and surrounding towns in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Online therapy is also an option for families outside of our travel radius in CT or NY state.

Step 1

Give us a call or get in touch via text or email. We will schedule a free 15-minute consultation call where I can learn all about your child, your family, and start to get a picture of the difficulty you are calling about.

Step 2

If we seem like a good fit for your needs, we will schedule an initial evaluation. Evaluations are usually completed in your home, even if therapy will end up taking place at your child’s daycare center.

Step 3

Based on the evaluation results, I will create a plan of care with therapy goals that are based on your family’s needs and priorities. We will schedule therapy sessions at a time, location, and frequency that works for you.

Step 4

We will work together towards your goals! Progress will be monitored over time, and goals will be adjusted as needed. Once you have met your goals, we will part ways… but we will always be a phone call away!
